Directory Access Tab in Exchange doesn’t list all DC’s and GC's
Dear All, I have an exchange server 2003 SP2 with the latest patch and updates and recently set up a new domain controller (windows server 2003 set up also a GC). I'm wondering how to automatically List all the DC's on the Exchange Directory tab, currently it is only pointing to my old 2 domain controllers (windows server 2003). I already checked automatically discover server option. I have already run gpedit.msc in the 3rd DC, go to Computer Configuration-Windows Settings-Security Settings - Local Policies - User Rights Assignment - Manage Auditing and Security Log, and founded that Exchange Enterprise Servers group is already listed there. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Exchange should pick up new Domain Controllers automatically. Please check the registry so that you haven't hardcoded them. (See KB250570) If everything looks good, I suggest that you restart "Microsoft Exchange System Attendant". Have you rebooted that 2003 DC after you promoted it to a GC? If not, try that. Also, have a look at your Application event log and find the 2080 event id's. Hi Matheisen, I have enabled the Diagnostics Logging and founded below events. Its showing that everything is fine but when I check in Directory Access tab its showing only Test-Dc02 and Test-Dc01 server only, none of others. All others servers are more than 6 month old and rebooted many time. Can you please help? Process IISIPME113EB66-F8CE-410A-9746-5D5512595C4C -AP "EXCHANGEAPPLICATIONPOOL (PID=5348). By default, on each Exchange server, DSAccess automatically detects the appropriate domain controllers and global catalog servers in Active Directory for the Exchange server to query. This document outlines how to enable automatic discovery of servers. Have a check.Noya Lau TechNet Community Support

Do you have a "Profiles" registry key beneath the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeDSAccess" registry key? If you do, remove it from the registry. If you don't care if you use PDCs then remove the thing from the registry and be done with it! >And one more thing, should I delete this reg key from all my exchange servers? The registry key and value says "Don't use a DC that's a PDC unless there are fewer then "X" DCs that are otherwise availavbble in this AD site". You have two PDCs in your AD site (childDC01.Child.corp.Test.co.in and testdc.corp.test.co.in). That leave TWO GCs that you can use. That's how many you see.
